Zoo Entry
Online Ticket Terms and Conditions:
- Online admission tickets are valid for three months from the date of purchase.
- Online admission tickets are non-exchangeable, non-refundable and void if altered.
- If a Cardholder ticket (Supergold, Community Services, Student) is purchased, a valid form of ID is required to be presented upon entry.
- All persons (including children under three years) entering the Zoo must hold a valid ticket which must be submitted for inspection upon request by any member of staff.
- Online admission tickets may not be used for advertising, promotion, competitions or other commercial purposes without the express written consent of Hamilton Zoo.
- One caregiver is given free entry when accompanying disabled persons aged three years or older (children under three years are free) who are requiring assistance. We do ask for suitable supporting documentation and identification e.g. Community Services Card or a letter from a health practitioner. Please let our reception team know on arrival.
- Group booking concession rate requires a minimum of 10 tickets to be purchased at one time. For any cardholder tickets included in the group booking, a valid form of ID is required to be presented on entry. If ID is not provided, an upgrade may need to be purchased.
Hamilton Zoo
General Conditions of Entry:
- Visitors enter the Zoo at their own risk and choose to do so under these Terms and Conditions. No liability for loss, injury or damage will be accepted.
- Visitors must pay the applicable entrance or membership fee prior to entry. No tickets will be refunded, exchanged or substituted after purchase.
- All children under the age of 15 years must be actively supervised by an accompanying adult at all times.
- Hamilton Zoo has the authority to close the Zoo or any part thereof, including any animal enclosure, for any reason whatsoever including in the interests of safety and will not be liable for any loss or expense incurred by a visitor as a result of such closure or variation.
- For your own safety, the safety of other visitors and the safety of our animals, you are not permitted to bring the following into the Zoo: scooters, skateboards, rollerblades/skates, bicycles/tricycles or similar (excluding toddlers bicycles fitted with a rigid fixed handle that are under the direct control of a responsible adult at all times), motorised vehicles (excluding pre-approved mobility scooters), animals (excluding fully-vaccinated, pre-approved assistance dogs), balloons, balls, frisbees or other throwing games, whistles, horns or other noise creating tools/instruments, remote controlled vehicles and devices (including drones), cooking equipment, alcohol or illegal substances.
- Visitors must not feed, touch, disturb or interfere with any animal or enclosure within the Zoo.
- Visitors must not enter any animal habitat or staff only area without being accompanied by a Zoo personnel.
- All visitors are required to follow all conditions and instructions displayed within the Zoo or communicated by Zoo personnel.
- All visitors must wear attire appropriate for a community facility. For safety reasons, appropriate footwear must be worn. Hamilton Zoo reserves the right to refuse entry to visitors wearing costumes or items of clothing that may, at Hamilton Zoo’s absolute discretion, be considered objectionable or have a negative impact on the Zoo’s animals or other visitors.
- Hamilton Zoo is smoke-free environment, as such, smoking and vaping are not permitted within the Zoo.
- Visitors must obtain express written permission from Hamilton Zoo before conducting any commercial or charity activity on Zoo grounds. Professional/commercial photography and filming is permitted only by prior arrangement with Hamilton Zoo’s marketing team.
- Hamilton Zoo retains the right to deny access and/or remove any visitors who fail to comply with these terms and conditions.
