Get ready to embark on the adventure of a lifetime with the Tiger Encounter at Hamilton Zoo! This extraordinary experience offers you a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with one of the most magnificent creatures in the animal kingdom. Accompanied by our knowledgeable carnivore keepers, you will delve into the captivating realm of Sumatran tigers. 

Gain firsthand insight into the daily lives of our resident tigers as you discover their behaviours, diet, and the crucial conservation initiatives dedicated to safeguarding this critically endangered species. 

Every Animal Encounter is unique, and the amount of interaction will be led by the animals themselves to ensure their welfare.

Standard Hamilton Zoo entry fee applies in addition to the price of the Animal Encounter.

All participants must be over the age of 5 years old. Children 5-15 years of age must have an accompanying adult (booked and paid) with them on the encounter. There must be at least one adult per every three children.

Please note that while you will get incredibly close to these fantastic big cats, this is a hands-off encounter.

The Animal Encounter lasts approximately 30 minutes overall with a maximum of 6 people per group. You'll be in close proximity to the animal for a minimum of 15 minutes.
