Animal feeding sessions

Listen for announcements of feeding times through our loudspeaker. At Hamilton Zoo, we don't have set feeding times. This is so that our animals don't feel pressured to eat at specific times, which could make them stressed or cause health problems. We cater to the animals' natural urges to forage or hunt, this helps prevent boredom and stops them from developing behavioural issues.

Playground

Surrounded by lush greenery and featuring a charming animal-themed design, our main playground provides a safe and fun space for kids to explore during their zoo visit. But the adventure doesn’t stop there! The zoo is home to two additional playgrounds, each offering its own unique fun. One of the highlights is a big slide near the chimp enclosure, a favourite spot that always brings smiles to kids’ faces.
