The Giraffe Conservation Foundation (GCF) is the only NGO in the world that concentrates solely on the conservation and management of giraffe in the wild throughout Africa.
GCF is dedicated to a sustainable future for all giraffe populations in the wild. Their objective is to raise awareness for, provide support to and secure a future for giraffe, and conserve their habitat in Africa.
At Hamilton Zoo we have a bachelor group (that means they're all boys) of six giraffe. You'll find these handsome lads in the Savannah during the day, unless the weather is bad. If it is, you can still see them in their night dens over in the wetlands.
