Booked Encounters:

The red panda breakfast encounters have all been snapped up! But we've still got a few options available:

  • Tuesday 12noon: Rhinos
  • Thursday 9.15am: Lemurs
  • Sunday 9.15am: Lemurs
  • Sunday 12.30pm: Siamang

Face2Face Encounters:

These encounters are available every day on a first in, first served basis. Check the schedule for details. Numbers are limited so we suggest you arrive early to avoid disappointment.

Tuatara Encounter:

Every day this week you have the chance to meet these guys up close with a special, limited time only, Face2Face encounter. AND it's for the special rate of just $5 per person. Available at 12noon every day this week, but get in early as numbers are limited.

Teachers go free day:

Thursday is our special FREE day for teachers. Come on in, meet the education team, see our education room and find out how we can assist you to make the most out of a visit with your students. Then enjoy the zoo at your own leisure. Entry is free for teachers, just remember to bring your teacher registration with you to reception.

Name our zebra foal and WIN!:

A bouncing baby zebra foal is the latest arrival at Hamilton Zoo and we're passing the honour of their naming to you! You've got until Sunday night to come up with a name for this cutie... and here's a tip, it should reflect the zebra homeland of Africa. If your name is our favourite, you'll not only be able to say you named the foal BUT you'll also win FREE visits to the zoo for two adults and up to four children for a whole year with a family annual pass!
