Our new kid on the block

The little foal arrived last week and is the fifth foal born to Marbles, whose pregnancy was planned as part of a regional zebra breeding programme.
The foal's father is Bwana who was recently transferred to Taronga Western Plains Zoo in New South Wales for breeding with their zebra herd.
Zoo keeper Louise Van der Sande, whose role involves cares for the animals in the zoo's Savannah exhibition, says the foal was expected, but her arrival was a bit of a surprise.
"We came to work last Tuesday, and one of the keepers who lives nearby said 'I think you've got a new zebra foal'," says Louise.
Louise says the foal has one striking feature: "She has very long floppy ears!"
The new arrival is doing well, and brings the zebra herd at Hamilton Zoo to seven. The herd will be boosted to eight later this year when a three-year-old male is imported from Australia.
