Conservation

We strive to ‘inspire conservation action’ and in 2006 the Hamilton Zoo Conservation Fund was developed to aid in supporting projects at home and abroad. Hamilton Zoo provide educational opportunities to visitors through FREE keeper talks, our education team and signage across the zoo.

Hamilton Zoo’s conservation role includes raising awareness and funds for the conservation of animals in the wild. The Hamilton Zoo Conservation Fund was established to accumulate and distribute funds raised from public donations, 10% of revenue from every animal encounter (Eye2Eye and Face2Face) and proceeds from special conservation events.
